Peter moved from Zimbabwe to South Africa in 1982 and spent sixteen years teaching at Cowan House Preparatory School in Hilton. He then worked at an English-Portuguese school in Angola for two years and is still on the Board of Trustees for the school. He visits Angola three times a year for a month at a time.
Peter’s love of woodworking began when he was a young boy. He was inspired by a family member who made model ships and he has honed his skill over the years. He loves spending time in his workshop and one of the things he enjoys making most are trinket boxes made out of a variety of woods. He has a Zulu assistant called David who helps him with the assembly of his woodwork.
He is happily married to Annie, who used to teach with him at Cowan House and they live in Hilton with their son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
