So you like our unique, hand-crafted products? Here’s how to hunt down and secure the treasures you want on our site!
STEP 1. You can navigate through our website either by selecting options from our main menu or you can browse by artisan simply by clicking on their photograph. This will take you directly to the products they make.
STEP 2. Now you can look through the various products in that category and decide which treasure will be yours.
STEP 3. You can also search for a specific product by typing in your query in the search bar.
STEP 4. When you have found the product(s) that you just have to have, click on the Add to Cart button.
STEP 5. Once you have added all the goods your heart desires to your shopping cart, all you now need to do is register, confirm your order and make payment using your credit card. You will have the option to send your purchase as a gift to a different address from yours and whether you’d like it gift wrapped and a hand-written card included.
STEP 6. Once payment has been made you will receive an email with your order confirmation.
STEP 7. Prepare yourself – those treasures are on their way to you or to the person you are gifting them to.

Making sure your treasures are delivered to you safely and timeously is extremely important to 3friends. When deciding on which courier to partner with we have had to weigh up the two important aspects of cost and reliability and eventually, after much deliberation, chose Aramex. They are a well respected courier company with a lot of experience and the ability to deliver goods quickly and safely to all parts of South Africa, and around the world, at a reasonable cost.
3friends is based in Hilton so we ourselves are considered a regional centre. In order to keep costs as low as possible for our customers we will transport packages for delivery to our nearest main centre (Pietermaritzburg) at our own cost. We will do this once a week which means that you should expect your package (both local and international) to be delivered to you in 5 to 7 working days of placing the order. If this is too long to wait, please contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll make a plan to get it to you sooner (but it will cost more!). You will be able to track your delivery on the 3friends website using the delivery code generated at check out. In the case of international purchases customs duties, local taxes and import duties may apply in your country which are not included in the amount paid at check out. The buyer or recipient of the shipment is responsible for all such taxes and duties. If in doubt, please check with your country’s customs office prior to ordering.
While 3friends can take no responsibility for delays caused by Aramex couriers we will do our best to resolve any problems you may experience so please do let us know.

Our 3friends team does its utmost to ensure that all handmade goods that leave our premises are in tiptop condition and packaged properly. We do value the slight imperfections and characteristic anomalies of hand-crafted goods. The treasures you’ll find are unique and different to what you find in mainstream stores and our hope is to bring back the richness of diversity and the desirability of the non-uniform. Each product is not made by a machine, but by a crafter’s hands. We see this as our distinguishing feature and what sets our products apart from the rest; we hope you too will bear this in mind when considering returning your purchase.
Product damaged on arrival
If the product you have purchased arrives damaged, please take a photograph of it in its packaging immediately. Then, complete the return form below, attach a photo of your goods and a copy of your courier receipt and return to the address below within 5 days of receipt.
Product not crafted to a reasonable standard
If you feel the product you received has not been crafted to a reasonable standard, complete the below form within 5 days of receipt of the goods and return the goods to the address below. Please remember to attached a copy of your courier receipt.
On receipt of the goods, 3friends reserves the right to determine if the product is substandard. If it is deemed to be substandard or it is broken, we will replace the product with one of the same, if possible, and courier it to you free of charge. In the event the product was a one-off product, we will issue you with a code that will credit your shopping cart on the 3friends website with the amount you paid for the product as well as the cost of returning the product to us. You will be able to use this credit to make other purchases on our website.
